I'm looking to trade one of my M16A1 clones for an M1 Carbine. Obviously straight trading is out of the question, so I'm willing to add an extra $550 to $600 on top in cash. Selling is only a last resort. The above arrangement is the most preferred option.

Absolutely not looking for Iver Johnsons, Universals, Chiappas, or Auto-Ordnance. It doesn't have to have all WW2 parts, Korean War conversions are fine as I can source parts. Not looking for one of the expensive and more rare manufacturers, an Inland or a Winchester will do just fine.
