MITCHELL ARMS PRE-BAN YUGOSLAVIAN RPK-47 UNDERFOLDER – EXTREMELY RARE COLLECTOR’S AK

Offered for sale is an authentic Pre-Ban Mitchell Arms Yugoslavian RPK-47 Underfolder chambered in 7.62x39 and manufactured by Zastava in Kragujevac, Yugoslavia. Imported by Mitchell Arms prior to the 1989 import restrictions, this rifle represents one of the most desirable and difficult-to-find Yugoslav AK variants ever brought into the United States.

Unlike the far more common post-ban M90 imports, true pre-ban Mitchell Arms rifles are receiver marked “RPK-47” or “AK-47” and retain the original military features that collectors seek. These rifles were imported before federal restrictions changed the landscape of foreign military-style rifle imports, making surviving examples highly sought after among advanced AK collectors.

According to documented Mitchell Arms import records and collector references, only approximately 400 pre-ban 7.62x39 underfolder rifles were imported into the United States before the 1989 ban.
