This is a 1960's early Colt Commander 1911, 45 ACP. Includes one mag. A couple of things to point out: 2.5 lb custom trigger. This trigger was done up very nicely. What wasn't done up so nicely is the front sight, as it is missing. Its a staked front sight and the gunsmith who installed the sights (Eric at Okeechobee Shooting Sports) is probably not qualified to work on anything. We learned that the hard way when it flew off at the range. Fortunately the trigger and hammer were installed by Steve Fischer of Stuart, FL.
Because the trigger is so nice I considered purchasing the .45 acp upper that attaches to the 1911 lower but decided against it.
If you are reading this and you have a 1911 front sight (reasonably priced) for sale, lets talk. It might be the difference in me selling or keeping it. It shoots great.
