I recently acquired this in a lot of guns i purchased, very cool. Considering keeping it. The receiver was painted black from colt at the factory and this one is worn down a lot and someone painted a big S on the side for the side of the gun that’s “safe” and and arrow on the top in what looks to be like fingernail polish? I haven’t tried to remove it. All the wood is tight, no cracks or damage that i can see.The blueing on the barrel is in SIGNIFICANTLY better condition than the receiver. And it’s just the paint flaking on the receiver. I tested action twice and it works fine i don’t want to dry fire it a lot, unsure if it’s safe on these old 22s.Tube fed and the tube is there and the spring and follower are with it and functioning how they should. I don’t know a ton about it, just watched some YouTube videos and it’s a cool piece of real COLT American history !
