BACKGROUND: Post WW2 liberation MAS (Manufacture National d’Armes de Saint Etienne) resumed armament production and transferred the 35S program to other facilities at the end of 1944. (Medlin & Doane p. 52) These were Manu-france, MAC (Manufacture Nationale d’Armes de Chatellerault), MAT (Manufacture Nationale d’Armes de Tulle and SAGEM (Societe d’Applications Generales d’Electrique). SAGEM obtained an order for 10,000 pistols in September 1945 and completed it by 1953. (Medlin & Doane p. 56)
